Having concluded in writing that he will be saved to the Philippians, he looks forward to an upcoming meeting with them. That does not mean it will happen (see Philippians 1:27). But if he can visit them, they will have all the more reason to glory in Christ Jesus. When Paul is released from prison, Christ will be honoured even more. Because then Christ’s work continues through the ministry of Paul.
26 so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.
