The Lord reminds Moses that the Lord himself would be with him. This is all that we need to know to have confidence in our calling. We never have to face God’s enemies alone. We are mere instruments in the hands of a Sovereign God who knows the end from the beginning. The servant of God can be assured of the victory of his mission because the Lord himself guarantees success. This is the confidence that our Lord Jesus had when he came to earth to deliver God’s people from sin. This is the confidence we may have when we faithfully walk with the Lord our God who calls us to serve him.
12 He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
