What is significant about listing “mourning and famine” after “death”?
Revelation 18:8 (ESV)
8For this reason her plagues will come in a single day, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”
The fact that mourning and famine are listed after death indicates that death does not take everyone; there are survivors, but their lot can hardly be called life.
