The power of Babylon is going to be overthrown and destroyed, and…the kingdom of God is going to come on earth. That was God’s word, and so if the righteous, the true believers in Judah are to go on living by their faith, they go on living in faith, on that word, on that revelation, that God had spoken to Habakkuk. They rest on that! They rest on the fact that their coming oppressor will be brought down and judged and that indeed God’s kingdom will come on earth. They hold to that. That is what it means to go on living by faith. That is the anchor of faith; it is the word of God.1
