Song of Solomon 3:2 (ESV)

2 I will rise now and go about the city, in the streets and in the squares; I will seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but found him not.

The love for her husband moves her. She is concerned and can no longer sleep as long as she does not know where he might be. That is why she goes out into the streets at night—alone as a woman. The dangers that threaten her as a woman all alone at night in the city are not important now. It is all about her beloved; she has to find him. Her love is greater than the fear about what might happen.
