What is the function of the phrase "all fat is the LORD's" within the chapter?
Leviticus 3:16 (ESV)
16And the priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering with a pleasing aroma. All fat is the LORD’s.
The phrase, “All fat is the Lord’s,” is a summary statement for the entire chapter. The choice or best parts of the sacrificial animal belongs to the Lord. He is deserving of the best.
