The third instance of inadvertent sin involves a person who becomes ceremonially unclean by touching an unclean person. There are numerous examples of people who are considered as ceremonially unclean in the rest of the book of Leviticus. For example, a woman who has just given birth (Leviticus 12:2, Leviticus 12:5), people with bodily discharges (Leviticus 15:2, Leviticus 15:19), someone who eats an animal found dead (Leviticus 17:15), and a woman having her monthly period (Leviticus 18:19).
