God sovereignly rules over the hearts and minds of men to complete the work of building a house of worship. That is a good way to describe history. The reason history is continuing is because God is continually at work and he has not completed that project yet. And looking at part of that project, we are that work in progress. He continues to rule over all things for his glorious purpose today, as he has in the past. Take heart, rise up, fulfill the task that the Lord Jesus Christ has given us—to proclaim his gospel; to disciple the nations; to glorify him in all that you say and all that you do, until all his chosen people have been gathered together in his house of worship.1
