Do you know that for as long as people have been calling upon God's name, going back at least to the time of Seth, God's people have always been able to say, God has answered our prayers. It is a magnificent thing. It is a privileged thing to be a praying people—to know that God hears and answers us, and to know that God is wise, good, and all-powerful…I once heard Jim Eloff say that George Mueller had counted one million answers to prayer. How did Mueller know that? He kept track. He made a big deal when God answered prayers and God answers prayer all the time. Do you know what is important? This is what we usually do as Christians: we pray, God does something absolutely remarkable, and then we go on as if it is business as usual. You should sit down with your kids and say, do you see how God answered our prayers? So that as your kids grow up, they look back over their childhood and they can say,
Brian BorgmanI had a mom and a dad who prayed and they had a God who answered their prayers.1
23 So we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty.
