A completely different image is used for the wicked
(=lawless) ones, they are the people who ignore God’s law. Yes, they do not even know to show reverence for God. They are therefore guilty to God’s good will. The painful result is that at some point they end up in destruction. They disappear as chaff that blows away with the wind.
