The image of the previous verse (Psalm 1:4) for the wicked proves to be correct. They do not fit in the place where justice is being done. They lose their place within the circle of God’s people (see Psalm 24:3–6).
They already feel that in this life, but that is a precursor of what awaits them. After all, surely there is a God who judges on earth
(Psalm 58:11; and compare Daniel 12:2–3 and Matthew 25:31–46).
