Who was allowed to eat the sin offering?

Leviticus 6:29 (ESV)

29 Every male among the priests may eat of it; it is most holy.

The officiating priest could distribute the sin offering to his fellow priests. By way of comparison, in Leviticus 10:16–18 Moses was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron, because they did not eat the sacrifice of the sin offering as they had been commanded.
