1. Leviticus 6:30 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

Why was a sin offering from which any blood was brought into the tent of meeting forbidden to be eaten?

Leviticus 6:30 (ESV)

30 But no sin offering shall be eaten from which any blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place; it shall be burned up with fire.

If some of the blood had been brought into the sanctuary itself, it would be a violation for the priest to eat any of it. If that were to happen, the sacrificial animal was to be wholly consumed by fire.
