In addition to the sacrificial animal, the thanksgiving sacrifice was accompanied by loaves mixed with oil, unleavened wafers coated with oil, and flour mixed into cakes containing oil. This list includes different types of bread that were presented to the Lord for a thanksgiving sacrifice. The worshipper could not simply bring his favourite food, or what he considered acceptable.
12 If he offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the thanksgiving sacrifice unleavened loaves mixed with oil, unleavened wafers smeared with oil, and loaves of fine flour well mixed with oil.
