14And from it he shall offer one loaf from each offering, as a gift to the LORD. It shall belong to the priest who throws the blood of the peace offerings.
The word gift (ṯᵉrûmāh) is often used to describe the temple tax (Exodus 30:13–15) and loot (Numbers 31:29, Numbers 31:41, Numbers 31:52). It carries the basic meaning of a reserved portion.
