15And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten on the day of his offering. He shall not leave any of it until the morning.
The eating of the flesh symbolized communion with the Lord. Through the eating of the sacrificial animal, the worshipper experienced fellowship with the Lord. Previously the eating of the flesh was not allowed (see Leviticus 3:17).
