It is likely that the apostles did most of the speaking, given the fact that they were commissioned by Jesus for the task of bearing witness (Acts 1:8). They were busy testifying to God’s mighty deeds in delivering his people (Deuteronomy 11:12; Psalm 71:19; Psalm 105:1; Psalm 106:21).1 Specifically, God’s intervention in history to bring forgiveness of sins through the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus the Messiah (Christ).2
