The man shows that he knows his wife in a way that no one else does. He thanks the Lord in the song of admiration he sings now. The love for his wife makes him sing this song.
The striking thing is that the man starts with her feet and concludes at her head (see Song of Solomon 7:5). When he looks at her feet, he sees that they are beautiful. They fit so well in the sandals she is wearing. When he looks at her hips, he honours the Artist who made them.
