We are given an example of one of the signs done by the apostles in Acts 3:1–9 and Acts 5:12–16. From these two passages it appears as if most of the wonders had to do with helping people. Wonders and signs validated the ministry of Jesus (Acts 2:22) and they serve to do the same for the apostles.1
43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.
