Acts 2:46 (ESV)

46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,

The temple courts provided the ideal place for people to meet in terms of accessibility and spatial requirements. From Acts 3:11 and Acts 5:12 it seems as if the believers met in Solomon’s Portico, a hall that was 200m long and 15m wide, situated on the eastern side of the temple complex.1
