Philistia had been a flourishing commercial centre, boasting the major trade route that connected three continents. But its seacoast will be reduced to open pastureland, and thus stripped clean of its commercial advantage and business. And therefore all that the Philistines had done in time past to build and maintain this commercial centre will be for nought.1
6 And you, O seacoast, shall be pastures, with meadows for shepherds and folds for flocks.
