1. Acts 3:8 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

Is there any significance to the fact that the man leaped to his feet?

Acts 3:8 (ESV)

8 And leaping up he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

Though this phrase could merely be a description of what the man did in his excitement, the wording alludes to a promise made in Isaiah 35:6.1 The leaping of the lame is a confirmation that the Messiah has come to bring about deliverance.
