Being wise means to fear God, being alert to the situation and time in which one lives, and knowing what to do and what not to do. A wise person living in the time of Psalm 90 would know that the only thing to do is to humble oneself before God. Israel lacked this wisdom.
12 So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
