With this term the elders and living creatures certainly are adding praise to the Lord, for that’s what the word means (see Revelation 19:1). Yet strictly speaking their word is a summons (in Hebrew the term is an imperative) to others to join in adoration.
4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!”
