Revelation of God the Father

Acts 4:13–31 (ESV)

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.

What does Acts 4:13-31 reveal about who God the Father is? God is King. He is the One who has all authority. His commands must be obeyed.

God is Saviour. He is concerned for the salvation of his people and acts to make sure that the Good News of Jesus Christ continues to be proclaimed despite opposition.

God is Creator. He healed the lame man. He is in control of nature.

God is involved in this world. He sends the Holy Spirit to equip his church to do the work which he has given to his church.

God is sovereign. The quotation from Psalm 2 once again confirms that he can foretell events before they come to pass.
