God nearly kills Moses at a lodging place, but he is saved by Zipporah who circumcises their son. This story does raise a lot of questions: why? How? Why is the solution that Zipporah circumcises their son. Which son is circumcised? Why does God want to kill Moses if he has sent Aaron on the way to him? What is clear is that something is wrong between God and Moses, and it has to do with the circumcision. This is an important episode in the preparation of Moses for his ministry in Egypt.
