  2. Exposition

Could this have been the night before Moses met Pharao?

Exodus 4:24 (ESV)

24 At a lodging place on the way the LORD met him and sought to put him to death.

It could have been, but we are not sure. The night before an important event is often in Scripture a night of preparation, for example, the night before the exodus (Passover), or Jacob’s wrestling with an angel in Peniel before he meets Esau (Genesis 32:22–32), or Jesus’ wrestling in prayer in Gethsemane the night before his crucifixion (Matthew 26:36–45). This is could have been Moses' preparation.
