The crowd has swamped Jesus since he got off the boat. Now they invite themselves to join him on his way to Jairus’s house. As always in the Gospels, the crowds are there for the show, unaware of the details going on around them. As they pressed about Jesus, they provide the setting for the bleeding woman to approach him in secret, making Jesus’ question in Mark 5:30 both strange and supernatural.
