Having previously been described as being full of faith and the Holy Spirit (Acts 6:5), Stephen is now said to be full of grace and power. Typically, grace is used by Luke to refer to God’s enabling help and care as a gift of the Holy Spirit (see Acts 4:33), whereas power is the result of the presence of God’s Spirit (see Acts 1:8) and corresponds to faith.1
