These are two rhetorical questions to which the answer is no.
Of course, God does not eat meat of bulls or drink blood of goats. Yet listeners then and now are urged to reflect on the question, What idea do we have of God? What image do we have of the Creator of heaven and earth? Why do we serve this unique God? Do we wholeheartedly act on what is written for us in Deuteronomy 6:4–9?
