The Jephthah narrative concludes not with victory over the enemy, as it did in the Ehud and Barak/Deborah narratives. Instead, its conclusion looks more like that of the Gideon account. Both narratives carry on and conclude with recounting the subsequent deeds of the judges (Judges 8:13–32; Judges 12:1–15).1
