What is the big theme of Hannah’s prayer?

1 Samuel 2:1–10 (ESV)

1 And Hannah prayed and said, “My heart exults in the LORD; my horn is exalted in the LORD. My mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation.

Hannah’s prayer is a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord who reverses human fortunes by his mighty power.1 It is likely that she adapted the words of a well known song of triumph in connection with Israel’s past victories over Canaanite kings.2
