The Lord now spoke directly to Moses and Aaron. It was rare for Moses and Aaron to be addressed together. Usually, Moses was spoken to alone (e.g., Leviticus 1:1; Leviticus 4:1). Aaron was included because the priesthood had the duty to oversee the application of the Holiness Code that the Lord was giving to Israel.
