Judges 13:2 (ESV)

2 There was a certain man of Zorah, of the tribe of the Danites, whose name was Manoah. And his wife was barren and had no children.

Zorah is a mountain fortress on the north side of the fertile Valley of Sorek, about three kilometres from the Philistine border, and twenty-four kilometres west of Jerusalem. It is listed as a town of Judah in Joshua 15:33 and of Dan in Joshua 19:41. Historically it almost certainly belonged to the Danites first and became a town of Judah sometime after the Danites left the area and migrated north (see ch. 18). But with the Philistine invasion it becomes a boundary line between Israel and the Philistines.
