In Zephaniah 3:15 the prophet gives two reasons why Zion should sing aloud, shout, and rejoice. These two reasons address 1) what the Lord has done (first half of Zephaniah 3:15), and 2) where the Lord is and the implication of this (second half). Zion should sing aloud, shout, and rejoice because the Lord has removed enemy oppression and has set himself in Israel’s midst.1
15 The LORD has taken away the judgments against you; he has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; you shall never again fear evil.
