In this verse, Jesus praises his Father in response to faith and unbelief (Matthew 11:1–24). In the parallel verse in Luke (Luke 10:21), it says that Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit. Salvation is the work and joy of the Triune God. It is the Father who sends his Son, it is Jesus who does the work of his Father, and it is the Holy Spirit who gives joy about salvation.
