The bow and the sword are weapons. The soldiers of God’s people use these weapons. The only thing is that they cannot put their trust in these weapons; their trust is to be directed to God alone (see Psalm 44:5, through your name
). God’s faithfulness, God’s strength—that is what we trust in and bring up in our prayers.
