How would the Egyptians respond to the turmoil in the land?
Isaiah 19:3 (ESV)
3and the spirit of the Egyptians within them will be emptied out, and I will confound their counsel; and they will inquire of the idols and the sorcerers, and the mediums and the necromancers;
The total confusion resulting from the internal division would cause the people to seek help in all the wrong places. They would turn to occult practices: idols and sorcerers.
