God alone possesses all wisdom. This statement is also a response to Zophar’s rebuke (Job 11:7–20). Zophar had said that a mere human like Job should not attempt to understand God’s mysteries. However, it is Zophar and his two friends who are pretending to understand these. They are the ones who claim to know the divine reasons behind everything.
