Revenge never satisfies. It always leaves you emptier than before, as it cuts you off from the Lord (whom you’re supposed to trust and hand over your hurts to) and from the community around you (from whom you’re supposed to seek help and empathy and guidance and correction). You and I have better options than seeking revenge on our neighbour.
