What does it mean that the lives of David’s enemies would be slung out as from the hollow of a sling?
1 Samuel 25:29 (ESV)
29If men rise up to pursue you and to seek your life, the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living in the care of the LORD your God. And the lives of your enemies he shall sling out as from the hollow of a sling.
Abigail was referencing a slingshot which was used to throw stones. David’s enemies would not stand against David. He had to be confident of the Lord’s help and protection.
