Judges 15:20 gave the impression that the Samson cycle had completed, and thus what would follow would be a new cycle, with a new announcement of Israel’s rebellion, a new notice of oppression by an enemy nation, an eventual cry for relief, and a description of deliverance by the Lord. But the narrator has more to say regarding Samson and Israel.1 See note at Judges 15:20 for more.
1 Samson went to Gaza, and there he saw a prostitute, and he went in to her.
