What is the irony in Samson being set to grinding at the mill?
Judges 16:21 (ESV)
21And the Philistines seized him and gouged out his eyes and brought him down to Gaza and bound him with bronze shackles. And he ground at the mill in the prison.
Earlier, Samson had burned the Philistines’ grain when he set the foxes’ tails on fire. Now he is reduced to grinding grain for them. This would be sweet justice from the Philistines’ perspective.
21 And the Philistines seized him and gouged out his eyes and brought him down to Gaza and bound him with bronze shackles. And he ground at the mill in the prison.
