Paul’s visit to Jerusalem is also narrated in Acts 9:26–30. He was accompanied by Barnabas. His aim was to get to know the apostles. He did not go to confirm his understanding of the gospel or to be discipled by them.1 The gospel was already fully developed in Paul’s mind when he went to the city.2
