1. Galatians 2:9 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

What will it mean for Paul to go to the Gentiles and the Jerusalem leaders to the Jews?

Galatians 2:9 (ESV)

9 and when James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

The division of labour which had already been recognized (Galatians 2:8) is set to continue.1 Paul will work in areas where there are predominantly Gentiles whereas Peter and the Jerusalem apostles will focus on serving the churches in Judea.
