Previously, Paul called the Galatians foolish (Galatians 3:1, Galatians 3:3). Now he goes back to referring to them as brothers (Galatians 1:11) and he will use this term again in his letter (Galatians 4:12, Galatians 4:28, Galatians 4:31; Galatians 5:11, Galatians 5:13; Galatians 6:1, Galatians 6:18).1 Despite their sins and failures, he still considers the Galatians to be Christians and he wants to do what he can to stop them from being deceived by the Judaizers.
15 To give a human example, brothers: even with a man-made covenant, no one annuls it or adds to it once it has been ratified.
