What does Paul mean when he talks about faith expressing itself through love?
Galatians 5:6 (ESV)
6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.
Those who have true faith in Christ will demonstrate that faith in acts of love, the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23).1 A desire to obey God’s commands is a consequence of union with Christ (1 Corinthians 7:19),2 and thus Paul expects faith to be revealed in works (James 2:22).3
6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.
