What new and old things has the woman laid up for her beloved?

13The mandrakes give forth fragrance, and beside our doors are all choice fruits, new as well as old, which I have laid up for you, O my beloved.
She is inviting him to experience sexual bliss, involving both things familiar to the man and things he has not yet experienced.1 As they grow in love, they will both repeat familiar pleasures and find new ones as well.2
