Our yearning affection for each other should drive us to our knees in prayer, as it did for Paul. Back in Philippians 1:3–4, Paul told them that he prayed for them; in Philippians 1:9–11 he tells us what exactly he prayed for. Here we see that Paul is not one to simply promise or assure someone that he will or is praying for them but then never actually gets around to doing so. That sometimes happens. Be careful. Do not promise to pray for someone if you have no intention of doing so.
