What does it mean to receive instruction in the Word?

Galatians 6:6 (ESV)

6 Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches.

Instruction in the Word refers to oral instruction in the gospel (see 1 Corinthians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 2:4; 1 Corinthians 15:2; 2 Corinthians 1:18; 2 Corinthians 2:17; 2 Corinthians 4:2), 1 the teaching of the apostles (2 Thessalonians 2:15; 2 Thessalonians 3:6). 2 This would involve being taught in formal settings, such as worship services, as well as extra teaching that takes place in smaller group contexts. All Christians receive instruction in the Word on a regular basis if they are members in a local church where there is a pastor/teaching elder.
